About BOMA
The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Canada is the voice of the Canadian commercial real estate industry. On behalf of the building owners, managers,
developers, etc., BOMA Canada addresses issues of national concern, and promotes
excellence in the industry through information, education advocacy and recognition.
The Challenge
BOMA enlisted the services of TPH® to create a nationwide solution for the distribution of the BOMA BESt Energy and Environmental Report (BBEER). The BBEER is a report that informs the Canadian commercial real estate industry and its stakeholders about a number of topics including energy and environmental and trends and areas that warrant further investigation.
The Opportunity
The solution utilized multiple aspects of the TPH® business model: on demand ordering, distribute
then print and Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) approved paper. The BBEER is available
to be ordered online at www.bomabest.com. Once an order is placed, TPH® automatically receives
a notification which includes the ordering individuals information and the delivery address, the
order is then shifted to the closest TPH® location to the final delivery address, utilizing TPH®’s distribute then print model. All reports are printed on demand on FSC certified stock; no reports are preprinted.
With this solution, BOMA has reduced the time of delivery, dramatically decreased their shipping costs and most importantly reduced their carbon footprint. With the utilization of TPH®, BOMA is able to print on demand -
reducing the risk of obsolescence, distribute then print - reducing shipping emissions and produce their
materials on FSC certified stock.
